Apologies for the huge delay between posts, been on holiday and my laptop has recently broken again so only just getting all my stuff back together.  Also been concentrating more on Pick A Part That's New in the last few days. Anyway, this is another recent Kasabian show, this one from the Hurricane Festival which I think is held in Germany. Sound quality here is excellent, probably the best of any boot I've heard from this year (for more see my other blog, Pick A Part That's New).

Kasabian - Saracuse Demos

Firstly, apologies for the lack of posts over the past week or so. My computer has again broken, and I am currently waiting for it to be returned from PC world. This is pretty awful timing as I'm going on holiday for 3 weeks on Saturday, and as a result haven't been able to stockpile any posts for when I'm away. If I get my computer back tomorrow I may be able to create a few, but don't expect many posts over the coming weeks. ANYWAY... This rare collection of demos dates from 1999, when Kasabian were still called Saracuse (hence the name). Not been able to properly listen to this yet, but it is (as far as I'm aware) the only collection of Kasabian demos in circulation, and as a result will probably be of interest to fans of the band. From what I've heard of this the sound is quite different from their debut album, released a few years after these demos were recorded. I made this artwork as I couldn't find any. Link is my own.

Kasabian - 2011-06-04 - Live At The O2 Academy, Sheffield

Kasabian should be familiar with most viewers of this blog by now, so no need for an introduction. This gig was one of their first, if not their first this year, and is notable for the airing of two new songs: Velociraptor! and Switchblade Smiles. Not been able to properly listen to this yet, but from what I have listened to the sound quality seems pretty good. Highlights from this excellent setlist include Underdog, Empire, LSF and Fire, although the main 'selling point' of this gig is of course the two new songs, both of which I think are pretty good. The artwork (not made by me) is included in the download. Recommended for fans of the band. Also, I'm away on holiday tomorrow, so posts will be less frequent over the next week, although I have shecduled a few.

Kasabian - 2009-03-27 - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Kasabian were formed in Leicester in the early '00s and released their debut album in 2004. This gig was a few months prior to the release of their third album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, and was in aid of Roger Daltrey's Teenage Cancer Trust. The sound quality on this is not exceptional but more than listenable. Most of the setlist is made up of tracks from the band's first two albums, as well as some previews of songs that would end up on West Ryder; namely Underdog, Fire, Thick As Thieves and Fast Fuse.  Highlights on this bootleg include Underdog, Shoot The Runner, Empire and LSF (mass singlalongs from the audience on the last 3 mentioned). I made this artwork for those interested, although there are others available online. This is a a good bootleg, but only really worth downloading for serious fans of the band.
